The club was formed in 1956 and is one of the finest in Kent with great facilities and friendly people.
With around 80 members (male and female) aged from 12 upwards; you are never too young or too old to play bowls!
The green is always maintained to the highest standard and we have an excellent club house with a dining room and lounge bar open every day throughout the summer season.
We play friendly and competitive ladies, men’s and mixed games with other local clubs in the week and at weekends.
Members may play as often as they wish and there are weekly informal ‘roll-up’ sessions on Tuesday mornings, ideal for new players.
Several members have learnt the game at Borough Green and gone on to become Kent Champions!
In 2012 the club won its first County Championship (Ladies Fours) and this was surpassed in 2014 with 4 County Titles; the Mens Singles (Duncan Hanmore) and Ladies Singles (Jean McCallum), Ladies Fours and Ladies Under25 Pairs. A further Ladies Fours Title followed in 2017 whilst a Mens Triple were runners-up and became the Club's first team representative in the Mens National Championships.
For those who might be retiring from more physical sports, bowls is a great way to remain active and stay involved in competitive sport at Club, County and National level.
Whether you prefer a casual or friendly game, or something more competitive:
Bowling at Borough Green is the answer!
Open Days are held in May (see 'Diary') but free coaching is available throughout the season.
